A Vlog on the Blog

A Vlog on the Blog

(by More In Media)

 Oh, my!

“Nothing like a Blogging Challenge to pull out the video camera!” ~ Dorien

Does that make sense?

Do I dislike writing to the point of ‘cheating’ on this aforementioned challenge that I would be willing to make a video… of MYSELF?!

Hold your horses!

I am super

  • excited
  • energized
  • psyched
  • pumped up
  • stimulated

What a great opportunity to be part of this Better Blogging Challenge! Here’s what in store for me and those who’ve joined me.

“Better Blogger Challenge Dates:
Monday, January 9, 2012 to March 9, 2012
Winners will be announced March 16, 2012
Requirements:
36 post by Midnight EST – Friday, March 9, 2012
  • Each post must be of unique high value content
  • Minimum of 200 words per post (regardless if it includes a video)
  • Written by you
  • No X rated content
  • No sales letters or spam posts”

“The video blogging (vlogging) is IN ADDITION to the writing I will be doing.”

(Interestingly enough, the word ‘vlogging’ was flagged by spell-checker and is NOT considered a word, yet)

Here is my first vlog, recorded today, for my Facebook Fans as an introduction to ‘Dorien, the woman behind the orange glasses’.

This video is posted on YouTube; find it here.  You can connect with me on YouTube and subscribe to the More In Media channel for informative How-To Screenr videos and now ‘Dorien videos’ as well.

Your turn!

I have my own (three-part) challenge for you!

  1. Share something on your Facebook Page today, something that very few people know about you, and tag More In Media.
  2. Find a video you might share with your Facebook Fans this week.  Make a plan and schedule to post it.  (Find it on YouTube if you do not have any of your own.)
  3. Think about something you can add to one of your blog posts that will give your fans more of yourself:  Images of you or your (home) office, a YouTube video, a SlideShare, a PowerPoint…

Are you getting what I am getting at?

Sometimes, you have to step out of your comfort zone to get better at a task and to improve upon the proven method.

I say:

Get out of your comfort zone and look at what you’ve been doing from a different angle.

Only then will you see change!

I would love you to leave me a comment below with your plan of action! Post something spectacular and share your link in a comment. I promise to come and ‘critique’ your work, just as I am encouraging you to critique mine.
