Twitter Relaxes Its Lists Limitations For Your Tweeting Pleasure

I got up this morning to a most pleasant surprise. I read a tweet that got me to an article by TheNextWeb explaining that Twitter announced its expansion to their lists feature. Here is the original embedded tweet:

The Next Web article also states that ‘while the announcement came from Twitter’s account for media and journalists, this new feature may also be available for all users. We’ve contacted Twitter for clarification and will update if we hear back.’

I’ve done one better. I KNOW that I’ve been at my ’20 list limit’ for well over a year now, sometimes to a most frustrating point. So what did I do? I conducted my own test, of course! I created two new lists. And yes, they worked. I now have 22 Twitter lists. To me that proves that my 20 list limit has been lifted. I am not game to try to see if the upper limit of 500 accounts per list has been lifted. Feel free to do your own experiment. I challenge any of you to go do that…;)

So what does this mean to me, to you? There are many benefits to Twitter lists and I’ve actually written several blog posts and created several ‘Twitter Lists Tutorials’ on YouTube. Here are some reasons to create and use Twitter lists:

1) to find information
2) to sement and find people
3) to curate blog posts

I think this new expansion to Twitter lists is fantastic! What is your take on this? Do you use Twitter lists and do these new limits help you and your business strategies? Join the conversation; leave me a comment below!
