Roll Call For Facebook Admins. You Need to GET this.
Roll Call For Facebook Admins. You Need to ‘Get’ this.
Last week was another big ‘Facebook’ week!
Ch-ch-changes…♪♫♫♪♪
The big change everybody has loved and raved about is the Facebook Post scheduling Feature now available to all! I think we can all agree it’s a wonderful thing to have.
I am sure you’ve heard of it, seen it or used it. Just in case, here is my (short) tutorial on how to use it and how to edit the scheduled post, too.
But what else happened?
Something big for all of those who are admin to a Facebook Page, whether it’s their own, or pages they manage for others!
Facebook’s changes have introduced new roles for Facebook Admins.
Here’s the run down. There are now FIVE LEVELS of Facebook Admins.
- Manager
- Content Creator
- Moderator
- Advertiser
- Insights Analyst
Each Admin has different roles and different functions. Here is a chart from Facebook on what each Admin can do. Notice that as the levels go down, so does the level of responsibility the Admin has.

I also made a quick reference video on the new roles for Facebook Admins and how I think these changes will affect the way we manage our Facebook Pages.
I am very excited about the possibilities Facebook has given us.
Those possibilities include creating an admins team and dividing the tasks, hiring a Facebook Analytic Experts to monitor your page, as well as outsourcing Facebook Advertising to a Specialist, all without giving up full access to all your page functions. Pretty neat!
Hear my excitement. Watch it here!
YOUR TURN
Are you excited about these new Facebook Features and changes?
Do you have multiple Admins to your Facebook Page(s) and will you assign each Admin new roles, now that you can do so?
Can these new Admin roles really help you manage your Facebook Page(s) better?

Thanks for putting all the info out there in an easy-to-understand formula. I certainly see many advantages, especially if you are a good outsourcer!

That’s the real trick, Martha!
If you can be and manage well, these new feature will be dynamite!

Great exciting videos and well explained, espicially the first one where I can schedule my posts on facebook, I didn’t know that. Comes in handy because I am going on vacation pretty soon. So, thanks!!!
Thank you for your kind words, Olga.
Glad I can be of help.
I do write most of my posts with beginners in mind, not seasoned social media managers.
It’s great to have this sort of info explained in easy to understand terms. Thanks Dorien!
I aim to please!
Easy is what I wanted when I was just learning.

I really like how you have laid out this info. As a one man band, I have been looking more into using an intern or virtual assistant to accomplish more but have been leery of giving too much access to my pages. These new feature will really help!
Glad this might be of help to you.
I really do think that’s what Facebook had in mind as they designed these new roles:
More access, less risk!
I am totally excited about these new Facebook possibilities, especially the post scheduling option! You have shared some amazing tutorials, thanks, I appreciate that!

Love that, Mattias.
Happy to help sort things out.
I am really ‘digging’ Facebook right now.
Because I am not working anymore, I just have a page for networking purposes. I am sure that the new features are very helpful for people in business.
You are a great networker.
I am sure Facebook is working for you and these scheduled posts will be most helpful for you, too!
I can’t wait to dive in a get the this down pat.. it would really help me ! Thanks for sharing this with us!

Great videos Dorien! On one of my pages I have changed a co admin role to content creator, I did so to avoid any issues with page ownership in case a conflict of interest would arise.

I didn’t know Facebook had changed admin roles! This is a very cool feature. It just goes to show that Facebook is expanding and is here to stay. Thanks, Dorien!
Thank you Dorien, there are so many changes and at times it is not that easy to follow. This so helpful!! Great information.

Yes, those changes are awesome. I didn`t use any apps like Hootesuite, etc… due to edgerank, so pretty happy to be able to schedule posts right in fb! And as for admins, I have made my hubby the secondary admin; never know what can happen! Thanks for that great video. YOU Rock! (-_-)

Oh goodie!
Now you’ll be protected in case something EVER happens to your personal profile.
One of my clients’ profile got hacked because her AOL account did and she lost control of her page.
Not good!
If she’d had a second admin, she could at least have tried to get him out!
This is going to be so helpful as I start to get more involved. Thanks for the videos and the explanations Dorien!

I enjoyed recording them.

I like these changes, especially the scheduling option since 3rd party apps seem to be penalized by Facebook. These changes are a definite plus, very happy!

We are in the same boat!
I am thrilled an using it, too.
I had two meetings today, one at 10 am and one at 1 pm.
Guess when I posted to Facebook?

Thank you for this article. I wasn’t aware of these new changes and I can surely see the benefit of them. Awesome!

Sharon,
so glad you stopped by.
Another person helped. It makes me smile!
Dorien.
This is great information. I have to say that of all the social networks I find that Facebook is the most difficult to manage.
Lyn recently posted..How far should we go in retouching Grad. Photos?
Lynn,
Facebook I love b/c it is quite simple to log in as a person and then manage multiple pages (talking 20-30 pages at a time)
No need to sign in or log in…! I love the ease.
Yes, there are a lot of changes happening, but I like most of them.
The Facebook engineers are thinking ahead, for sure. That’s what I try to do, too!
